The Linearbandkeramik (LBK) culture practices ritualistic cannibalism and has a mass grave containing the chewed, mutilated, and generally destroyed bits and pieces of as many as 1,500 men, women and children of all ages. This is much unlike the older mass graves at 48° 35′ 0″ North, 16° 30′ 0″ East (up to 300 individuals?) and 49° 5′ 0″ North, 9° 12′ 0″ East (34 individuals?).

Not only is the body count much higher, but the mutilations appear to have been committed post-mortem. The “tasty” bits (to evil savages), such as bone marrow, soft tissue, and brains, appear to have been selectively chosen for dinner by wicked human choice. This was not practiced as a matter of survival.
